Alabama My Home Sweet Home!

Charles Ghigna wrote Alabama My Home Sweet Home! to showcase some of the greatest things about Alabama. This book takes the reader on a journey through the state from Huntsville to Mobile hitting all of the state's high points. The tour is guided by a black bear named Camellia, who is named after the state flower.  It shows off Alabama's tourist attractions, landmarks, and famous people from the state. Some of the people and places included are: Rosa Parks, Hellen Keller, Cheaha Mountain, and The USS Alabama. All of these are part of what make Alabama so special! The illustrations in the book are very fun and cartoon-like. The illustrator really does the book justice in telling the story for children to understand better. This is a fun way to teach students some of the best things about the great state of Alabama!

  1. Love books that teach children about Alabama! A virtual field trip around Alabama would be great to add to this!
